Social Media: Implement social media campaigns. Train reporters and sales staff on how to use social media tools – including Twitter, Facebook and hashtags. Implement social media strategies for clients.
Google Hangouts: Produce “Cab Conversations” series of HOAs. Create special Gmail accounts and lower thirds for all participants. Connect those accounts to YouTube. Use control panel feature to monitor video and audio from participants during Hangouts. Edit video in post production, then post to website.
Writing: Curate and post scholarship and internship information on website. Write social media posts. Write and edit proposals, news releases, trade agreements and other items.
Analytics: Collect monthly snapshots of website, movie application and social media statistics using Google Analytics, EachScape, Social Metrics Pro, Twitter Analytics and Facebook Page Insights. Find the story in the data and share with sales staff. Put all data into a clean, one-page internal document.
Mobile applications: Redesign mobile applications for Android and iPhone. Create all graphics. Negotiate contracts and work with developers on weather and market feeds. Submit apps to Google Play and iTunes. Revised and update applications as needed.
Graphic Design: Create static and animated ads for clients, as well as special section banners, and any special project art as needed. Work with graphic designers at firms, or in house, on projects.
Video: Edit video using Windows Movie Maker, iMovie and Adobe Premiere Elements. Post videos to YouTube and website, then share socially. Train reporters on how to edit video in Movie Maker and iMovie mobile application. Test various video editing software to find the best one for staff.
WordPress management: Serve as webmaster for BrownfieldAgNews.com and various client sites. Update plugins and themes as needed. Design and tweak themes. Supervise implementation of branded short URL for social media. Test themes and plugins as needed.
Promotions: Negotiate contracts with vendors. Negotiate trade agreements with other agriculture publications. Get bids for software, graphic design and digital development. Create and update proposals using InDesign and Photoshop. Help plan staff retreat, including booking rooms, ordering meals and making reservations.
Client work: Maintain client websites. Implement social media campaigns, consult with clients on digital media issues and media relations. Create and curate content for blogs and websites. Conduct podcast interviews and post to web. Shoot video and post to YouTube and websites. Create print publications. Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including Trusted Choice Nebraska, Missouri Foundation for Health, DuPont and The Missouri Bar. Troubleshoot problems with sites, plugins, software and equipment.
