I hate celery that isn’t crisp. But sometimes, it happens. I find a package or some leftover celery stalks hidden away in the refrigerator (which we are STILL trying to organize!), with the leaves starting to wilt and the stalks hopelessly limp.
But if the celery isn’t too far gone, you can bring it back to life to use it in yummy chicken salad, pot pies or crock pot dishes.
How to make celery crisp again
- Chop off the bottom of the stalks.
- Put the celery in a bowl or glass of ice cold water.
- Leave it sit at least an hour.
Viola! Your celery is ready to use!0
